Reno, Nevada's Fall Silent will soon be releasing a new 7" EP. These four tracks continue where the band last left us - with lyrical content that rakes today's world over the coals in the way only Fall Silent can do. Keep an eye out for the EP on vinyl/digital on Revelation Records early next year.
From the remains of such seminal New Jersey Straight Edge bands as Turning Point, Floorpunch and Mouthpiece comes the five piece unit known as SEARCH. Much like the bands from which they spawned, SEARCH kicks out a classic style of east coast Hardcore that’s lean, mean and created with the intent to elicit the type of sing-a-longs and stage dives you would have expected to witness on Sunday afternoons of yesteryear.
But this is no nostalgia act. While the six songs of their debut 7” EP “Between The Lines” are a testament to a specific style and sound of Hardcore, SEARCH most definitely exists in the here and now with a timeless message that is still as relevant and important today as it was when the members themselves discovered it in their teens. And now, thirty years strong, here they are: SEARCH.
After performing the track "Voice" with the surviving members of Sense Field at the East Coast Jon Bunch memorial concert, Jeff Caudill decided to record the track and release it (with the Black Sabbath song "Wishing Well" on the B-side) as a benefit for Jon's family. The new version of "Voice" is a straightforward but different take on the original, with a more subdued voice than normally heard on Caudill's solo work. "Wishing Well" is an adaptation of the original that adds a new dimension to the song. The 7" will be released in January on Revelation.
Beyond's "No Longer At Ease," originally released in 1989 by Combined Effort Records and later reissued in 1997 on CD by Some Records, is due out December 16, 2016 on Revelation. This will be the first time the album has been available on any format in nearly 20 years. This reissue is remastered from the original analog tapes, features original artwork, limited color vinyl, and includes digital download.

Primal Rite was born after the premature demise of San Francisco's Scalped, but finds new life adding vocalist Lucy of Profile (React! Records) to an already well-respected lineup that features current and former members of Busted Outlook, Condition, Tony Molina Band, Face The Rail and many other Bay Area punk and hardcore groups. Primal Rite goes beyond any specific hardcore formula, injecting elements of blazing Japanese and Scandinavian hardcore punk, Cleveland-styled crunch and '80s crossover into their sound. Look for a self-recorded 7" single and LP recorded by Jack Shirley at the Atomic Garden (Defheaven, Loma Prieta) soon after.
